USB Linux First Boot

Provided that everything is correctly installed to USB and host boot order modifications are properly setup, a Grub menu should appear

Allow about 5 seconds to pass before selecting the first option listed

Login and then configure the Network Manager, either through the GUI, or by adding a file to /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/ directory

    Upgrade install Linux packages
  • Drivers

    Install proprietary drivers if necessary
  • Update `initramfs`

    Update initial RAM file system
  • Configure Grub2

    Grub configurations that mitigate known dual-boot issues
  • Reboot

    Cross your fingers and tows for good luck
